The Anti-Bullying Bills of Rights Act designates the week beginning the first Monday in October of each year as a “Week of Respect” in the entire state of New Jersey. School districts are directed to observe the week by providing age-appropriate instruction focusing on preventing harassment, intimidation, or bullying. In this light, below are the FAMS activities for The Week of Respect.

**All Week—In homeroom, teachers will receive a sheet of paper for each student in their homeroom. Please have the student’s write their name on the paper. Throughout the week, ask students to write down a positive word about each student.
Monday, 10/4 - Wear Blue Day – This day is designated as World Day of Bullying Prevention and all students and staff are asked to please wear a BLUE shirt. By wearing blue we are all showing solidarity to stop bullying and cyberbullying.
**Brain Challenge Quiz Show - Students will have fun during this interactive game while showing respect to each other!
Tuesday, 10/5 - Respect Note Writing
During homeroom students will be asked to write a quick note (cards will be provided) to a teacher or staff member that has impacted them, helped them or been kind to them in some way.
Wednesday, 10/6 - Stomp Out Bullying! - wear your favorite sneakers to stomp out bullying once and for all!
Class Meeting centered on Respect
Thursday, 10/7– Team Up Against Bullying! - Wear your favorite sports team shirt or jersey! FAMS is TEAMING UP against bullying!
Friday, 10/8 - FAMS School Spirit Day!- Students and Staff are invited to wear their FAMS gear or our school colors of Red, White and Blue! We are showing our school spirit and respect for our school community by showing our school spirit!!
