Welcome to 8th Grade Math!

Ms. O'Malley teaches eighth grade Math and Geometry here at FAMS.

Ms. O'Malley graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelors Degree in the mathematical sciences and completed the education certification program while studying there.  She also holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from The College of Saint Elizabeth.

This year promises to be both a challenging and academically rewarding experience.  The goals of your math class are to introduce you to the language of mathematics, to prepare you for a rigorous high school experience, and to help you discover the connection between mathematics and the real world.  In addition, you will continue to develop critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills, both of which are necessary for New Jersey’s NJSLA and your high school math careers.  To help us accomplish these goals, we will also continue to develop appropriate study skills for mathematics.
