Franklin Lakes Public Schools believes that all students benefit from higher-level thinking and inquiry. The district’s Multi-Tiered System of Support encompasses in-class differentiation, push-in enrichment, and pull-out services. This continuum of services provides opportunities to meet the needs of all students while maintaining a keen focus on those identified as possessing exceptional academic talents. These students are provided the guidance, time, and resources to realize their academic potential..

The middle school gifted and talented framework aligns with national and state standards targeting the affective, social, and executive functioning skills of gifted learners. The student learning expectations were developed through a consensus using the latest research, best practices, models, and developments in the field of gifted education to better align with National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) standards and are designed in accordance with NJ-A4710: Strengthening Gifted Education Act.
