The Patriots are members of the Northern Bergen Middle School Athletic League and participate in the interscholastic sports of soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, track, softball and baseball.
To try out for a team at FAMS, the student-athlete must attend an informational meeting before the season to express interest and have a physical exam on file with the school nurse. Physical exams are valid for 365 days, but a medical update must be completed and signed by the parent every 90 days.
Deadline for form submission to the health office:
Fall Sports - Soccer / Volleyball - No later than August 15th
Winter Sport - Basketball - No later than October 15th
Spring Sport - Baseball / Softball / Track & Field - No later than March 15th
*Any student interested in trying out for a sport must sign up at the sports interest meeting held by the coaches. If a student fails to notify the coach of interest to participate or sign up at the meeting, the student will not be able to participate for that sports season. Additionally, if a student fails to provide the correct documents to the nurse by the date listed above, students will not be able to participate for that sports season.
